The Lancer Self Defense Hornet is a 0.43 caliber less-lethal launcher designed for personal and home defense applications. Manufactured by Lancer, it offers a reliable, non-lethal option for self-protection. The launcher is constructed primarily from durable polymer and metal components, ensuring strength and longevity, with an orange and black color scheme for visibility and safety identification. It measures approximately 20 inches in overall length and weighs around 2.4 pounds, making it easy to handle and operate with one hand or both as needed. The Hornet features a quick-arm screw knob for rapid CO2 canister insertion, allowing for tool-less operation. Its bottom Picatinny rail segment enables mounting accessories such as tactical lights or laser sights to enhance targeting. The launcher can fire rubber rounds, pepper projectiles, and paintballs, making it adaptable to various use cases including home defense, personal protection, and law enforcement situations. It is capable of propelling rounds up to 30 meters, providing self-defense at a safe distance. The device uses CO2 cartridges, with most of the gas utilized for maximum projectile velocity.
