SHTF Prepper Club — Family Emergency Preparedness, Made Simple.

Let's be honest about the name. “SHTF” gets your attention. But what we do with that attention is the opposite of what most people expect from a “prepper” brand. We're not here to sell fear, hoard for the end of the world, or convince you the sky is falling. We're here to help ordinary families do one sensible thing: be ready for the emergencies that actually happen.

Storms. Power outages. Water-main breaks. Winter weather. Wildfire smoke. A short-notice evacuation. These aren't doomsday fantasies — they're the disruptions real households face every year. Being ready for them isn't paranoia. It's just good parenting, good planning, and a little peace of mind.

The “Club” isn't a bunker. It's families looking out for the people they love.

That's the meaning we pour into our name — and here's the promise behind it.

Made Simple

The number one reason families don't prepare isn't cost or doubt — it's overwhelm. The topic feels enormous, the advice online is contradictory and intense, and it's hard to know where to even start. So most people do nothing.

We exist to fix that. Every guide we write and every kit we curate is built to give you a clear, calm next step — not a 200-item checklist that paralyzes you. Start small. Scale smart. Build something you can actually maintain. Preparedness should lower your stress, not add to it.

Made to Trust

When the lights go out, the gear has to work. Your family's safety is not the place to cut corners, and it's not the place to gamble on the cheapest thing in a marketplace search.

So we don't stock everything that exists — we stock what we'd stake our own family's safety on. Our team reviewed our full catalog and removed 87% of the products, keeping only the ones we'd actually use in our own home. What's left is the water filtration, food storage, backup power, first aid, and safety gear families genuinely rely on. If it didn't pass that test, it isn't here. That's the standard — and it's why you can trust what you find on these pages.

Ready When It Matters

Preparedness only counts at one moment: when something real happens and your family is counting on you. Everything we do is aimed at that moment — the night the power fails, the morning the water's out, the call to evacuate.

Our job is to make sure that when it comes, you're not scrambling. You've got a plan, you've got the essentials, and you've got the calm that comes from knowing you prepared ahead of time. That's the whole point: not to live in fear of the worst day, but to make sure it never turns your family's life upside down.

Built for families, not lone wolves

A lot of this industry is built around the solo survivalist — one person, off the grid, against the world. That's not us, and it's probably not you. Our whole approach is built around households: kids who need to feel safe, parents juggling real budgets and busy lives, grandparents, and yes, pets too. Preparedness as an act of care for the people under your roof — that's the lens for everything we publish and everything we stock.

Who's behind the promise

SHTF Prepper Club is owned and run by Ben and Zach Edmond — a father and son, based in Massachusetts, who built this around their own kitchen table. There's a certain logic to a family running a family-preparedness company: the people writing the guides and choosing the gear are asking the same question you are — would this actually keep the people I love safe?

That's why every guide on this site carries a real name. We're not hiding behind a faceless brand; we stand behind the advice. You can meet us on our Meet the Team page, or reach us any time through Contact — and if you ever see something we should fix or improve, we genuinely want to hear it.

Family emergency preparedness — made simple, made to trust, and ready when it matters.

Most families never plan to be ready. The ones who do don't do it out of fear — they do it because the people under their roof are worth a little preparation. If that's you, you're already one of us.

Welcome to the Club. We're glad your family is here.
