Description
Ground Ember Mat
The FireSide Outdoor Ground Ember Mat measures 60 inches by 67 inches when fully opened, with a packed size of approximately 13 inches by 10 inches by 4 inches and a weight of 4 pounds. Constructed from a thermal weave fiber core, the mat is coated on both sides with food-grade high-temperature silicone, providing a durable and fire-resistant surface. This Ground Ember Mat is designed to prevent hot embers from damaging ground surfaces such as wood decks, patios, or soil around fire pits and grills, as well as protecting against dripping grease and spills from barbecues and smokers. It features high-reflectivity edging for nighttime visibility and eight stainless steel grommets for securing it to the ground in windy conditions. The mat is suitable for use under wood-fueled fire pits, gas barbecue grills, and smokers, effectively shielding surfaces from heat, embers, and grease. While it prevents damage from hot embers and drips, it does not prevent heat transfer; a minimum of 10 inches of airspace is recommended between the fire source and the mat on non-sensitive surfaces, and use with a heat shield or pavers is suggested for sensitive surfaces like grass or wood decks. Maintenance includes easy cleaning with mild dish soap and rinsing with water. The Ground Ember Mat folds compactly for storage or transport and includes high-visibility edging for added safety in low light conditions. It is compliant with USFS and BLM fire blanket regulations and backed by a Fireside Outdoor limited 1-year warranty.
